Janice...Thank you very much for your comment, and really, all of your comments. I really appreciate it.

Tami...You guys are wonderful and we love you immensely.

Theresa... Tami's name is actually Theresa, spelled just like your name is spelled. Cool huh? We miss you too and love you more than you'll ever know. You are bright, considerate, passionate and gutsy; I love it!

You know, I always miss y'all... but stuff like this just makes it worse. I was proud of myself because I got almost to the end of your letter without crying, but then I read Tami's comment.
And that pretty much did me in.

I sure love you guys so much!!

Dear Doug,

Thank you for this letter. As time goes by we don't always reflect on the enormity of the circumstance which brought us together. As I think about the initial conversations Tisha and I had it was evident to me that her faith and conviction were unwavering (which always astounded me continues to do so). My faith and prayer was/is always the same, please keep my family together and let me have more time with this precious little miracle that was entrusted to me.

We sometimes sacrifice our time, our marriage, our families when we concentrate on the greater good, discipleship, but knowing in the long run it comes back to you, it teaches your children, it makes you a stronger person. This, I too believe is God's plan and why we take care of each other. Your decision as husband, wife and parents to sacrifice so selflessly to our family has given us a chance at "normal". Tisha's faith and love in the greater good, in discipleship, teaches me a lesson every day. You both inspire us and teach us to be better Christians and better people. Faith brought us together and love keeps the bonds strong. We are honored to be part of your family and look forward to making more memories with you, Tisha, and your completely beautiful children. Sam now has a brother and two sisters! We are all so blessed.
Thank you will never be enough.
With love,
Tam

What a beautiful story of love in action…not only love, but faith and courage. What Tisha did and what you did as a family shows loving others more than yourself. I thank God for people like you.

Esther 4:14 And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
